Unfortunately the in-flight Internet service, "Connexion by Boeing", that I blogged about some time ago has ceased operation.
The Connexion service started on 17 May 2004 and was discontinued on 31 December 2006.
Boeing says that the reason for stopping the service was that "the market for this service has not materialized as had been expected".
It's really unfortunate that this service has been terminated, because it was an excellent use of satellite technology and worked very well.
Panasonic and ASIQ are looking at implementing replacement services. I'll report on any new developments!
