European satellite launch company Arianespace is reporting that the planned 30 May 2008 launch of the UK's Skynet-5C and Turkey's Turksat-3A has been delayed by a software glitch.
Shortly before the launch, routine checks identified the problem and led to the launch being scrubbed. Arianspace has set up a group of experts to evaluate the problem and once that work is completed and a fix established the launch will proceed. The earliest date for this launch is likely to be 12 June, Arianespace reports.
